Website Development

Website Development: WordPress, Wix and Squarespace

I build and rebuild business websites, most often in WordPress with Elementor or Divi, and also in Wix and Squarespace. Every build is put together so it can be found in search, read by AI engines and edited later without breaking.

Platforms

Builders and Platforms I Work In

I have built live client sites on each of these. Which one a project uses depends on who has to maintain it afterward, not on what I prefer.

WordPress with Elementor

My default for sites that need to grow. Elementor Pro for layout and templates, Astra for a light theme, Rank Math for on-page and schema.

WordPress with Divi

Divi builds and ongoing Divi maintenance, including layout changes and content updates on sites already running it.

Wix

Wix builds and rebuilds, working inside the platform rather than fighting it, with the SEO settings configured properly.

Squarespace

Squarespace builds and edits for businesses that want a tidy, low-maintenance site they can update themselves.

WooCommerce

Simple online stores on WordPress, including the free tract shop I built for a church client.

The Build

What I Handle on a Website Build

A website that looks finished and a website that performs are two different things. These are the parts I take responsibility for on every build.

Layout and Design

Page structure, consistent spacing and type, and a layout that holds together on a phone as well as a desktop.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Image compression and WebP conversion, caching, and cutting the script and plugin bloat that slows a page down.

SEO Foundations

Titles and descriptions, heading structure, schema markup, internal linking and a clean XML sitemap, built in from the start.

Forms and Tracking

Working contact forms, GA4 and Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking tested end to end rather than assumed.

AI Search Readiness

Structured data, entity markup and an llms.txt file so AI engines can read and cite the site correctly.

Rebuilds and Migrations

Moving a site between platforms or rebuilding it in place without losing rankings, with redirects mapped before launch.

The Evidence

Sites I Have Actually Built

Three client websites are documented in detail, with the work and tools listed for each. The rest of what I do sits alongside the build.

Client Builds

NBR Plumbing, Vision Baptist Church and Accurate Books Solutions, each with the work and tools listed.

Internet Marketing Expertise

How the build connects to SEO, Google Ads and AI search once the site is live.

Resume

Roles, dates, tools and certifications in one page.

FAQ

Website Development Questions

It depends on who maintains the site afterward. WordPress with Elementor gives the most room to grow and the best SEO control, so it is my default for a business that plans to add pages. Squarespace or Wix suit an owner who wants something tidy they can edit themselves without learning a builder.

Yes. Most of what I do is working on sites that already exist, whether that is a layout rebuild, fixing a slow page, adding service pages or cleaning up the technical SEO on a site someone else built.

Both, and they are easier together. Page structure, internal linking, schema and page speed are decisions made while building. Retrofitting them afterward costs more and works less well.

Yes. The important part of a migration is the redirect map. Every old URL needs to point at its match on the new site before launch, otherwise rankings and backlinks are lost on day one.

Yes. Being able to build and fix the site myself means technical SEO recommendations get implemented rather than sitting in a ticket queue waiting for a developer.

Need Someone Who Can Build It and Rank It?

If you are hiring for a role where the website and the marketing sit with the same person, that is the work I do. Send me a message.
